About Me
Hi. I'm Merah Curnow. I was born & raised in the beautiful Big Sky Country of Montana. Butte is home. I attended college at the University of Montana in Missoula. Go Griz! I earned my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with High Honors. At my 10 year high school reunion I "met" my husband. A navy sailor that quickly stole my heart. He was stationed in Richmond, VA at the time. Just six months later my cat, Wesley, and I boarded a plane to start our lives in Virginia with Chad and his Boston Terrier, Titan. We were married later that year. We are quickly approaching our 8th wedding anniversary.
My husband has been in the Navy for 16 1/2 years. We have made cross country moves and have resided in Virginia, Washington, Oregon, and now we are back in the amazing Pacific Northwest calling Granite Falls, WA home...for now. Along the way we started a family and now have two amazing children, Cutler, 5 1/2, and Saylor, 3, and we still have our Wesley Cat & Titan Dog.
My LOVE of photography started at a very young age. As a gift at the age of 8, I got my first camera. I haven't stopped taking pictures since. After I graduated from the University of Montana, I applied and was accepted into the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. Sadly, due to family obligations back home I was unable to attend, but that didn't stop me or my love of photography.
I love all types of photography! Whether it be a breathtaking picture of a landscape scene, a lifestyle picture of a family in their home, a studio photo, or a fun cell phone picture snapped a the right moment. I love it all.
Some of the things I love to do other than capture memories with my camera are crocheting, hiking in the mountains, walking on the beach, sewing blankets, binge watching Netflix shows, Dutch Bros Coffee, and spending time with my family.
